Thessaloniki: Truck traffic ban on the Thessaloniki-Athens highway

Prohibition traffic trucks gross weight over 3.5 tonnes shall enter into force on the highway Thessaloniki-Athensin view of the occurrence of adverse weather conditions.

The ban is valid from 10 pm on Wednesday until the weather recedes.

THE Thessaloniki Traffic Department announced that the movement of trucks on the national road to Athens from the 484th kilometer (Malgaron Tolls) to the 474th kilometer (Klidi junction) is prohibited.

The General Regional Directorate of Central Macedonia announced the ban on the movement of trucks, in the current to Athens, from the 471st kilometer (borders with the Thessaloniki Traffic Directorate) to the 400th kilometer (borders with the Larissa Police Directorate).

The following are excluded from these traffic regulations:

-emergency vehicles (E.K.A.B., Fire Service, etc.)

– roadside assistance vehicles

-salt transport vehicles

-the vehicles that are directed from the junction of Klidi to Egnatia Odos (Veria, Kozani etc)

-the vehicles that have a final destination up to the city of Lamia.
