The arraignment of the 50-year-old woman for the murder of the elderly woman, in Kamena Vourla, took place at noon at the Lamia Courthouse, under strict secrecy.
The 50-year-old woman accused of murdering the elderly woman in Kamena Vourla was remanded in custody by unanimous decision of the investigator and prosecutor.
Her plea lasted more than 5 hours, with the accused insisting that she is innocent, while the police have identified her on security cameras as the last person to visit the victim.
Her arraignment took place at noon at the Lamia Courthouse, under the utmost secrecy.
It is noted that with the announcement of pre-trial detention, the 50-year-old woman collapsed and was taken to Lamia Hospital by ambulance.
It is recalled that the 84-year-old was found stabbed to death 2 weeks ago in her apartment in Kamena Vourla, with a knife in the back. The victim was found by her cousin who was worried when the 84-year-old did not answer his phone calls. The police found evidence from security cameras, even about the shoes and clothes worn by the accused, while a shoe print was found at the scene of the crime, which was identified in a laboratory and matched the type of shoes worn by the 50-year-old that day and the which have disappeared.
However, the 50-year-old, from the first moment, was in the circle of suspects for the police, since she fell into contradictions even when it was confirmed by a security camera that she was at the old woman’s house on the day of her murder.
