Happy Birthday Greece”, his pilot said in his message F-16 of the group “ZEUS», Sminagos George Sotiriou during the great military parade for the October 28th in Thessaloniki, talking to the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
“Through history, in every part of our homeland, on land, sky and sea, the Greek people honor and trust you. Happy birthday” said the President of the Republic for her part.
Squadron Leader Georgios Sotiriou is a Demonstrator Pilot of the F-16 “ZEUS” Individual Aircraft Demonstration Team. Entered the Icaron School in 2006 and was assigned in 2012 to the 115th Fighter Wing with F-16 Block 52+ aircraft. Since 2013 he has been serving in 343 Squadron and has logged over 1,800 flight hours, of which 1,500 in F-16.
With the great military parade in Thessalonikibefore the President of the Republic, the events for her anniversary culminated today October 28th.
The parade of military and civilian units took place on the coastal avenue Megalo Alexandrou and the government was represented by the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias.
The parade was also attended by the Minister of Defense of Cyprus, Vassilis Palmas.
