With very good weather conditions, the return of the excursions of October 28 has begun, at the last hour, however many hours of inconvenience await the return drivers heading from Lamia to Athens due to the works that are progressing on the national road Lamia – Athens at 198 km with the reconstruction of a bridge.

Lines of kilometers are already forming on the Athens-Lamia national road.

The problems are mainly located at the 208th kilometer at the height of Thermopylae, upstream towards Athens, where the road narrows due to construction works while there is slowness and a long delay due to the return of the excursionists.

At that point, PATHE has been made one-way, with the consequence that cars move in one traffic stream in both directions.

A huge volume of cars that have covered all the traffic lanes have formed a queue that exceeds 10 km moving at a steady pace while the only relief is the diversion of traffic from side streets.

And there things are difficult due to the volume of vehicles that will have to move in one traffic lane for 20 kilometers from Lamia to the junction of Molos.

It is typical that even after the 208 km of the PATHE at the height of Anthilis, the drivers remain stranded following the current towards Athens.

In fact, many of them complain that they were not informed at the Mavromantila toll road that there was a problem, they were not informed before they reached the Anthilis junction and it took them more than 3 hours to cover the 10 kilometers at a marked pace.

It is characteristic that until 3 in the afternoon there was no serious problem on the national road, however from then on the traffic increased from the E65, from Karpenisi and also from the national road in the direction of Athens, with the consequence that at this moment the cars are almost immobilized.
