A 300 -year -old violin, a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, was stolen from a London pub on February 18 and since then, police have launched a manhunt to locate the thief.

The precious violin, made in Florence in 1740, is believed to be more than £ 150,000 (175,000 euros), according to the London Metropolitan Police.

Police have appealed to witnesses to help identify potential suspects.

The theft of the violin took place on the night of February 18 by the pub “The Marquess” on Canonbury, Islington, and the 30 -year -old musician reported theft the same night.

After so many months of fruitless investigation, Camden police posted a photo of the suspect of a closed circuit television and asks the public aid “in an effort to help identify it as soon as possible”.
