He was arrested in the morning hours of Friday, October 25, 2024, in the area of Santorini, by the Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, a 20-year-old citizen, who was in possession of a postal package containing more than -1- kilo of raw cannabis.
How it was located
Prior to this, the parcel was located in a storage area of a postal services company in the area of Markopoulos, Attica, which, as it was found, had been sent from the United States of America.
Following the decision of the Drug Prosecution Coordinating Body and with the approval of the competent Prosecutor, a controlled delivery operation was organized, with the participation of police officers from the Athens Airport Narcotics Prosecution Department and the assistance of the Thira Security Sub-Directorate.
What was found in the investigations?
As part of the operation, the 20-year-old man was found to be in possession of the postal parcel, and he was arrested, while from the investigations in total -1- kilo and -100- grams of raw cannabis, the sum of -1,100- euros and a mobile phone were found and confiscated.
The arrested person was taken to the competent prosecuting authority and referred to an Investigator.
