Antonia and Kimon – Aristotle Vogt, two brothers and leading scientists from Thessaloniki – appear on the list of the famous Forbes magazine for research and innovation “Forbes 30 Under 30”.
In fact, 27-year-old Antonia – a leading scientist in the field of stem cell and anti-cancer research – is at the top of the list.
“He who manages to keep the vision and the dream alive inside him, is certain that he will conquer it”, this unquenchable dream and the commitment to her goals, as the young Greek scientist described to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency.
Antonia Vogt managed to achieve an enviable academic career with honors, while at the age of 17 she had her daughter, whom she is raising alone.
Antonia Vogt’s family feels great and doubly proud, because in the same list, her brother, Kimon – Aristotelis, who studied at Harvard, is also included.
Kimon taught as a Head Teaching Fellow at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and operates his own company that develops AI solutions that address key challenges in the health sector.

“I felt very happy and very grateful,” noted Antonia Vogt to APE – MPE, explaining that, with her promotion to first place on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, “I am given the opportunity to inspire other young people and motivate them not to they are afraid of the obstacles that appear in their way, because the one who manages to keep the vision and the dream alive inside him is sure to conquer it.
Antonia Vogt is 27 years old, she graduated from high school in Thessaloniki and in 2020 she completed her studies in the field of Medicine and Positive Sciences, with the highest degree in the UK.
From the University of Stirling in Scotland he obtained a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, while at the same time he was selected as an assistant professor for teaching and research against cancer. In 2018 she worked at the Institute Curie in France, participating in cancer research, and in 2019 she was selected to study and represent her university at the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana in America on a full scholarship, where she continued research on Glioblastoma.
In 2020, she started her doctorate in surgery at the University of Cambridge, where she is currently studying on a full scholarship and as an Onassis Foundation Fellow, at the same time she was selected as a teaching assistant.
She has been raising her daughter alone since she was 17 years old
Antonia has held leadership roles in various high-profile medical companies and founded the Cambridge University Society for Robotic Surgery in 2021, of which she is president. Alongside this, she is president of the Cambridge Neurological Society, and as of 2020 she is vice-president of her College’s MCR committee at the University of Cambridge and a College Ambassador, focusing on student support through scholarship fundraising. As a health and science scientist who has been a student and a single mother since the age of 17, her daughter Ioli is nine years old, she strives to provide opportunities for talented students. Through her work, she has started a scholarship at her college for students who are parents.
Addressing the young people, the 27-year-old scientist said: “See every difficulty with gratitude as an opportunity to learn something that will bring you closer to your goal. Nothing is impossible, no matter how difficult it may seem, to those who have vision and faith. Stay humble, help those around you, and use your knowledge for the common good.”
Kimon Aristotelis Vogt: From the mathematical olympiad to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list
However, the path that Kimon-Aristotelis Vogt took is also important, which starts with his distinction with medals at the National Mathematical Olympiads in Greece. On scholarships, he studied electrical engineering in the United States, where he then worked at Carnegie Mellon University as a Research Associate, developing AI algorithms to detect malfunctions via EEG and securing international patents. Together with graduates from leading universities such as MIT and Yale School of Medicine, he founded his own company, Sporo Health which develops AI solutions that address key challenges in the healthcare sector.
“My inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list is a great recognition for all the years of hard work and is a great source of motivation to continue working harder, in order to make my mother and Greece proud”, he emphasized to APE-MPE Kimon-Aristotelis Vogt and noted that, “this distinction does not only concern me, but also my team and the system we have developed. The team’s hard work and persistence deserve this recognition, and I’m really happy that our project is on this list.”
He noted that, “this distinction is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where the next phase of our journey will take us.”
Commenting on his sister taking the top spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, he confided, “She’s worked just as hard and being recognized on the list is a big step in her career, being the first on the list. It is a testament that hard work and determination pays off and I am very happy to share this success. Although I still have a few years to reach her level, her success inspires me to keep working hard and pursuing my goals.”
Kimon-Aristotelis Vogt has a vision for placing Greece at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence in the health sector. He firmly believes that through hardship comes the best results, as not only do we become better people when we overcome obstacles, but we also gain greater endurance and ability to manage life. He deeply loves his homeland, Greece, and his goal is to put it at the cutting edge of technology. Although they have received offers to install their solution in other countries outside of the United States, their wish is to develop and implement their algorithms first in Greece, for Greek hospitals, clinics and private doctors.
