Schools will be closed Tuesday for an autopsy to assess the condition and take safety measures
Intense disturbance was caused on Saturday morning due to a landslide on the slope of the plots housing the Unified Vocational High School and the EEEEK Heraklion, in Ai Giannis Hostos.
According to cretapost.gr, luckily there were no injuries since the schools are closed.

At the same time, engineers from the Urban Planning of Heraklion and the Region arrived together with the responsible designer of the project, as it is an independent project carried out by the Region, that’s why his designer also went to the spot. In addition, the director of urban planning of Heraklion Antonis Mavroyiannis and an engineer came for a first autopsy.
The area is blocked and there is no access to the part of the school adjacent to the landslide. It is worth noting that the schools will remain closed on Tuesday, a day on which the autopsy will also take place to assess the situation and take immediate security measures.
