A city bus driver was arrested in Chalandri who was in a state of intoxication.
The bus was at L. Pentelis carrying out his itinerary, when some passengers realized that the driver was drunk. They reported it to a patrol car that was next to them. The crew of the patrol car stopped the bus route and brought the driver to the AT of Chalandriou until the traffic police came and dealt with the incident.
The traffic police tried to breathalyze the driver, but he refused, resulting in the suspension of his license.
As reported by ERT, OSY. A.E., late on Saturday afternoon, the police authorities informed that a driver of the Company, who was running route 451, was brought to the police station of Halandri as he was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
By order of the Administration, after consultation with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras, the disciplinary procedure has already been initiated in order to impose the severe sanctions that entail such a serious violation of the law and violation of work duties.
