A burglar had too much audacity last Wednesday night in Pyrgos, who broke into a steakhouse in a central part of the city.

Disregarding the security cameras, which even recorded him in close-up, he broke down the door, grabbed the cash register and ran away.

On this particular night, the steakhouse closed around midnight. The burglar appears to have let an hour pass – perhaps fearing that someone might return in that time – and then bolted.

And he had a plan as it seems because he chose to enter from a point at the side of the shop, pass through a section where the awnings provided cover and reach the main door, where he smashed the glass with a chair.

Then wasting no time, he went straight to the register, checked that the drawer contained money and grabbed it, dragging the cash register with him to run out of the store.

The burglar was wearing a full face hood and had even taken care to pull up the sleeves of his shirt enough to cover his palms and leave no fingerprints.

However, his image was captured and even in close-up by the security cameras and especially by the one that was right next to the cash register and was probably unaware of its existence…

The Pyrgos Security Sub-Directorate was informed about the incident, which received all the video material and is conducting investigations to identify the perpetrator.
