An incredible rescue story that unfolded on Friday afternoon, in an area west of the city of Heraklion, with a dog and a man as protagonists, comes to show once again the way in which our four-legged friends perceive situations.

As it became known, it all started when Zeus, the 8-year-old dog in our story, while he was inside the house, alone with the mother of the family that adopted him as a baby, began to exhibit strange behavior.

According to what a family member describes: “Suddenly, Zeus started jumping up high and barking like crazy, the first time in this way in his 8 years of life. He went to him, tried to calm him down, but nothing. There mom realized something was up”

The woman, according to the same story, opened the door for him to go out, and he began to run up and down the yard, looking at the same time towards the next house. The mother looked where Zeus was “showing” her and what she saw made her freeze.

“She saw the neighbor’s son lying down in the yard, in an epileptic fit. He had convulsions and had hit his head on a step. His mother, inside the house, was sleeping, she had not noticed anything,” continues the description of the family member .

Naturally, the owner of Zeus immediately called for help, so that the unfortunate man could receive the required medical treatment.
Somehow a life was saved, say those involved, pointing out that – given that we are talking about an adult – many hours would probably pass before someone started looking for him!

The most shocking thing about the case, as it is emphasized, is that this incredible rescue was done by a dog that is not even trained for such cases!
