Renault 5 E-Tech electric

A revolutionary electric pop icon

The first Renault 5, launched in 1972, made its mark thanks to its modern, unconventional design. For millions of families, it was a car that provided answers to the challenges of the time.

In 2024, the prototype was reinvented as the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, an all-electric vehicle, 3.92 meters long, with a captivating design. Based on the new AmpR Small platform, with multi-link rear suspension borrowed from higher-end models, this electric pop symbol offers a dynamic and enjoyable driving experience. Built in the north of France, as part of a sustainable production system, the Renault 5 E-Tech electric has all the necessary features to establish itself as a city car, but also as a benchmark for the energy transition.

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric, which was launched in France last October, is gradually being released throughout Europe.

For more than twelve years, Renault has been trying to make electric mobility accessible to everyone. After launching two pure electric models in the C segment – the Megane E-Tech electric and the Scenic E-Tech electric – Renault is turning its attention to the B segment with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, followed by the Renault 4 E- Tech electric for 2025. These two models will play a key role in accelerating the uptake of electric vehicles and strengthening Renault’s position as a leader in the new era of sustainable mobility.
