Bulgarian MP Ivan Petkov of the BSP-United Left party, who attended the first forum on “building a relationship between BRICS and European countries” in Sochi, Russia, revealed, according to euractive.com, among other things, that in a meeting with the former president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev was also attended by representatives from Greece. In particular, he stated that “a large number of representatives from the Parliaments of Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Serbia, Greece, the Czech Republic, France, England, as well as many members of the European Parliament” participated.

As for who were the Greeks at the meeting with Medvedev? These are two officials of Niki: MEP Nikos Anadiotis and MP of Achaia Spyros Tsironis, with the latter also publishing a related photo on C (formerly Twitter) that they took smiling with the close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In his post, Tsironis characteristically writes: “At the symposium between BRICS, MEPs and members of the national parliaments of Europe I had the opportunity to talk with the vice-president of the Security Council and former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, who expressed to me his joy that there are still Greeks who defend Orthodoxy and traditional values”.
