Guarded and without access to his mobile phone is the Parliament police officer who has been arrested since November 29 at noon, accused of an extreme form of domestic violence with rape and abuse of minor children, according to GES sources.

As the sources summarize, the 45-year-old, following a prosecutor’s order in the context of involuntary hospitalization under article 95 par. 2 of N. 2071/1992 on November 25, 2024 he was transferred from the Athens General Hospital for Thoracic Diseases “The Salvation” to 414 SNEN (Military Hospital for Special Diseases) where he was admitted.

On Friday, November 29, 2024, at around 4:15 p.m., he was arrested and since that moment he has been under the custody of three to six police officers, on a twenty-four-hour basis.

The Psychiatric Clinic, in which he is hospitalized, is a closed structure and access is only possible upon the order and permission of the Director of the Psychiatric Clinic. From November 25, 2024, when he was admitted until November 29, 2024 at 4:15 p.m., when he was arrested, he had the rights of an inpatient at the Psychiatric Clinic of 414 SNEN.

That is, he had his personal mobile phone in his possession, he could make calls and he could receive visits like all the other patients in this clinic.

From the time of his arrest, however, he is guarded twenty-four hours a day by three to six policemen, his mobile device has been taken away, he is not allowed to visit, he lives alone in a clinic room and there is no contact with the other patients.

These clarifications follow the publications that showed the police officer posting on social media after the time frame in which he was arrested.

In fact, it is emphasized that the contact with the nursing and medical staff of the clinic is made for medical reasons and under the supervision of the police officers guarding him, who have full and exclusive responsibility for his safety and supervision.
