The lawyers of the two women, who have denounced Petros Filippidis for attempted rape in 2010 and 2014, will not submit a request to exempt the prosecutor.

Speaking of an “unprecedented attack” the witness received from the prosecutor while describing the alleged incident, her lawyer Alexandros Mindzias told the judges:

“Unprecedented attack on the victim by the prosecutor’s office. We institutionally expected your court to intervene, but we did not see it. The questions include the reasons why no woman wants to report sexual abuse,” said Mr. Mintzias with the public prosecutor commenting:

“I think I should clarify some things. What concerns France is that the trial there took 4 months and here it will take 1.5 years. I wanted the complainant to have the fortitude to speak up. Here is something lighter, to speak and say” said the district attorney, while referring to the questions he asked the witness about her underwear he said:

“The prosecutor knows how to ask. And the channels and breakfasts and all that they say about me about Siemens and other nonsense. It was a first-degree fling, not a representation, and rightly so,” he said.
