The routes of the Athens-Thessaloniki-Athens axis will be carried out as usual – Gatherings of employees outside the offices of Hellenic Train
A three-hour work stoppage for today, Friday, from 12 noon to 3 pm and a gathering of the strikers outside the headquarters of Hellenic Train, have been announced by the railway unions SEP & PEP TRAINOSE.
The workers’ unions will provide the necessary personnel for the minimum guaranteed operation and the transport of passengers, with exception the itineraries of the central axis Athens-Thessaloniki and Thessaloniki-Athenswhich will take place normally to avoid passenger inconvenience.
“Our requests for safe passenger transport and safety at work, the repair and maintenance of facilities, changing rooms and sanitary facilities as well as the tragic lack of staff, which we filed about four years ago have not only not been implemented but are literally dragging on, creating miserable working conditions”, note in the announcement.
Workers demand:
- Direct recruitment in cutting-edge specialties
- Immediate interventions for the safety of passengers from delinquent citizens
- Immediate interventions for health and safety at our work
- Replacement of aging rolling stock with new trains for the comfortable, fast and safe transportation of passengers.
