“We are faced with many inaccuracies and untruths, which have presented a distorted reality of what has happened”
Allou! Fun Park remains closed on public holidays under the responsibility of the Municipality of Nicea Agios Ioannis Rentis, as all the required documents have been submitted, the company notes in its announcement.
“Every year we welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors, most of them children and teenagers, and we believe that safety should be our main and non-negotiable priority. We continue to be the only certified amusement park with a complete dossier in Greece, without any gaps in the safety process. For this reason, the Municipality of Nikaia Ag. Ioannou Rentis to answer if he wishes to be in operation the largest company in the region that employs more than 260 workers, the vast majority of whom come from the region,” the announcement states.
Regarding the power outage incident a few weeks ago, the company says it fully complied with the rules for the smooth and safe movement of people from the games, which continues to be presented as a breakdown, a moment of panic and a security gap when in fact was an exemplary implementation of the security plan for the attendees.
The company’s announcement in detail:
“In recent days Allou! Fun Park remains closed, the most important period for its operation, that of Christmas and New Year.
We are, at the same time, faced with many inaccuracies and untruths, which presented a distorted reality of what has happened regarding the operation of Allou! Fun Park.
We have chosen not to position ourselves in detail, until today, since our role is not to publicly denounce but to provide joy and entertainment.
Now, with the doors of Allou! Fun Park closed, we want to disclose all the facts, which reflect the full culpability of the Municipality of Nicea Ag. created by the Municipality.
Allou! Fun Park filed all the required supporting documents regarding the safety and full operation of the games on December 19th, completely on time and legally.
The municipal authority demanded the filing of further documents, which, according to the law, are not, in the first instance, a necessary condition for the continuation of the operation of the amusement park.
Despite the fact that this requirement was abusive or even excessive, we promptly filed every document requested of us for security, BECAUSE security is our principle and we do not DISCOUNT.
We should note that additional documents were requested while there was already a certificate from TUV, dated 18/12, which certifies the operation of each game separately and expressly states:
Following the initial technical control of the entertainment devices, based on the existing legislation YA.50116/2020, we are communicating to you the Unique Identification Numbers assigned to the entertainment devices installed at the Allou location! Fun Park with a check result of ‘Compliance with comments’ and meet the conditions of safe operation and use for the general public!’
The Municipality, on 20.12 – perhaps due to the lack of quorum of the committee – with a relevant decision of the Municipal Council, proceeded to suspend the operation of Allou! Fun Park, even making public statements, stating that we have not submitted the requested supporting documents.
In other words, instead of contacting the largest company that operates within the boundaries of the Municipality, so that we can speed up the process together, they chose the path of publicity, interested in the image and not the substance.
On Monday, December 23, the Municipality received all the reports and every document that had been requested in excess of security, so that it could proceed with the opening of Allou! Fun Park.
On the morning of Christmas Eve – and while the dragging of Allou!, its staff and the Administration continued in the mass media – the three-member audit committee was convened, as required by law.
Specifically, the Municipality brought to light irregularities in the licensing of the installation of the space – and not the operation -, i.e. the property of which the Municipality itself is the owner (Allou! Fun Park rents the property from the Municipality) and as the owner should have he has sorted out all his property issues!
It was revealed, in other words, that all this time in the last few days, they were pretending to refer to the operation and safety and certification of the games, documents and procedures, when in fact the reason why Allou! Fun Park remains closed due to the irregularities of the Municipality’s installation, for a number of years for the space it rents.
The absolutely outrageous thing – in addition to the fact that a business has been sealed for irregularities in the installation of the Municipality – is that he sent us a document stating that the legal irregularities must be settled first!
Despite its statutory obligation, the municipal authority was caught irregularly and out of context! The result of all the above is the audit committee’s recommendation to rule on the irregularities of the owner Municipality and not to proceed with the verification of the certifications, without questioning the legality, absolute safety and reliability of our company and the entertainment facilities, which first we, grant access to our children!
All these days we are faced with many inaccuracies and untruths, presented by Allou! Fun Park not being able to renew its operating license. Its license has never been revoked in the last 22 years and it is the only venue in Greece that has the most valid safety certifications for its operation and that is always fully aligned with the rules set by the competent bodies.
We welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, most of them children and teenagers, and we believe that safety should be our main and non-negotiable priority. We continue to be the only certified amusement park with a complete dossier in Greece, without any gaps in the safety process. For this reason, the Municipality of Nikaia Ag. Ioannou Rentis to answer if he wishes to be in operation the largest company in the region that employs more than 260 workers, the vast majority of whom come from the region
Regarding the power outage incident a few weeks ago, we fully complied with the rules for moving people out of the games smoothly and safely, which continues to be presented as a breakdown, a panic moment and a security gap when in reality it was an exemplary implementation of the safety plan for attendees, who were guided by trained park staff. Apparently the park also has generators – more than one – and apparently the generator was used directly to move people and to light the Park.
We have also read that by suspending our operation for two days, the park workers are burdened with the loss of salary, when all our potential has been informed that they will receive their regular salaries, especially since most of them worked at Kidom, the which has NEVER been closed and which has an operating license from the same Municipality, having presented the corresponding necessary supporting documents for installation and operation!!
In the study of some to target Allou! Fun Park, for reasons that are understandable only to them, created a mixture of misinformation that related to the recent power outage, through no fault of ours, to the invocation of past events, for which, before the Greek justice system, we have been fully vindicated.
The result of this mixture is the disorientation and confusion of the world. The result of this is also that everyone’s favorite park remains closed, due to the municipality of Nice Ag I Rentis, and the workers still have no work during the holidays!
Obviously we will do what is necessary for all our people. We will take our measures for those who caused this damage to the company and our staff.
We have officially invited the Municipality to grant Allou the operating license! Fun Park and we are willing to provide solutions to the irregularities of the installation that have just been communicated to us, so that a permanent solution to the problem can be provided.
We invite you to Kidom which is operating normally, and we hope that before the New Year, the Municipality will open Allou as well! Fun Park so that our guests can enjoy it
We wish you a happy and healthy New Year!”
