Even… the firefighters are making pounds from the house of the elderly woman who burned down at noon on Saturday in Trikala.
As trikalavoice.gr reports, the firefighters saw an incredible sight upon entering the house. Plastic bags scattered here and there filled with… “coins”! One bag contained pennies and pennies, but the others contained… gold pounds!
The commander of the Fire Services, Pyrarchos Evangelos Tsiorlidas handed them over to the Investigative Committee, while after the Prosecutor was informed, a recording protocol was formed. The pounds were counted in front of the owner and handed over to her as she was the rightful owner.
On Saturday 270 pounds were found and on Sunday another 120-130, while on Monday morning another 207 pounds were found, raising their total number to 607!
It is noted that the elderly owner of the house lived alone and naked for years, and they were fed from the sissitio of the Metropolis of Trikki! From Saturday he will be staying at a hotel in the city.
