Five firefighters with a vehicle have rushed to the scene and are helping to locate him, but his tracks have not been found for the time being
An alarm has been raised in the ski center of Selio Imathia for the disappearance of a young skier, who stopped giving signs of life for at least five hours.
According to the information of ThessToday.gr, the young skier – about 20 years old – was skiing with his group, who was found at the ski center on Epiphany. At one point he went off on his own and skied the slopes, a move officials say is common among winter sports enthusiasts. But time passed and he never returned to his company, so they immediately informed both the ski center and the Fire Service.
Investigations are focused on the tracks
The investigations of the 12 firefighters who rushed with five vehicles to locate him are focused on the slopes, while the EMAK of Thessaloniki was also called to assist in the operation to locate the young skier.
According to senior sources from the Fire Department, investigations can last from 15 minutes, up to whole days.
