An impressive satellite image by frozen Niagara released the Copernicus, showing the river dressed in white.

Niagara’s waterfalls, one of the most recognizable natural formations in the world at the border between Canada and the US, were partially frozen due to an Arctic gas mass that swept the area on January 20th.

In the impressive image taken on January 27, 2025, the partially frozen waterfalls are distinguished from above:

The cold front brought unusually low temperatures, which reached -20 ° C in some areas, and created amazing ice formations in the waterfalls and surrounding areas.

While the Niagara waterfalls themselves did not completely froze because of the continuous flow of water, large parts became solid.
