Former Argolida MP Elsa Papadimitriou has died.

Elsa Papadimitriou was born in Nafplio. He studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens and at the School of Architecture at the University of Berkeley, USA. in the period 1968-1970, she worked as a curator of the National Technical University of Athens.

From 1990 to 1992 he was General Secretary of the Region of Central Greece. In the period 1992-1993 he was General Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works.

She is a co-founder of the Greek-Turkish Interparliamentary Initiative.

He was elected Member of Parliament for Argolida with ND in the elections of 1993, and was re-elected in the elections of 1996, 2000, 2004, 2007 and 2009. He was excluded from the Parliamentary Group in 2011.

Her funeral will take place in Nafplio.

In a statement, the mayor of Nafplio, Dimitris Kostouros, stated: “With a feeling of sadness and pain, I learned about the unpleasant news of the loss of my friend and fellow MP Elsa Papadimitriou.
