The unsolved murder in Gastouni 30 years ago and the “butcher” of Andravida – How the 2 cases are related

by

It was March 2, when Ilia, but also the whole of Greece, froze, upon hearing the news, that a small child, found dead in his house, his mother, his father, as well as his two little brothers, aged 1, 5 and 2.5 years old.

Very quickly the authorities put in the crosshairs a key suspect. The 60-year-old owner of the house where the family lived, and who is missing.

On the night of Friday, March 4, the 60 years old is in the hands of the police. On the morning of Saturday, March 5, he confesses. “I killed them… I do not remember the children”, he tells the police, while with excessive audacity he asks them to help him, so that he “falls into the soft”…

The whole country is now talking about the 60-year-old butcher. Citizens disapprove of him in the courts, while with the consent of the prosecutor and the investigator, he takes the road to the Korydallos prison. The mouths in Andravida are already open…

“He had shot a rooster because it was bothering him.” “He shot me because my daughter threw a stalk of fruit in his yard”… “my dogs poisoned me” hard, showing extreme behaviors with the slightest thing, constantly pulling out a gun;

The perpetrator’s past

The profile of the perpetrator, reasonably created a lot of concerns in the beginning. A man with so much violent pastwho illegally possessed a gun, who killed animals for fun, who eventually drowned two baby children and cold-bloodedly shot their parents, could he have done something else?

A few days ago, the President of the Police Officers of Southeast Attica, George Kalliakmanis, shared this thought with the journalists, and wanting to give a piece of advice to his colleagues, he said:

“They have to see unsolved cases in the area or disappearances. With such behavior that Andravida’s killer had, we do not know what else he has to do. Authorities to see the unsolved murders “…

One week ago, a Sunday newspaper article reported that police investigating the case were investigating the disappearance of two immigrants, farm workers, with whom the 60-year-old had quarreled in a cafe, and in fact, had even marked them with a gun. In a communication that the newspaper “Patris” had with the authorities, this information was refuted. However, according to reliable sources, the police are investigating another casewhich may be related to the butcher.

The murder in Gastouni

This is a double murder that had shocked the whole of Greece, in 1992. The victims were Nikos Chondroulis, 50, and Lamprini Syllaidi, 32, who were a couple living in Kavasila. A crime that was never solved.

It was March 6, 1992, when very early in the morning, the couple started from their home in Kavasila, to go to work in the “Stork” industry. At the intersection of Lefkochori, in the prefecture of E.O. with a shotgun, almost in contact, in the temples, causing them instant death. A truck driver passed by the spot a few hours later, estimated that there had been an accident and notified the Police who started the investigation to locate the perpetrators.

The first evidence had led the authorities to three versions: The first was the involvement of the 50-year-old in a car accident in Athens (with the victim being an 18-year-old), the second concerned the personal differences that Chondroulis may have had due to his relationship with the 32-year-old Syllaidis (Chondroulis was married when he met her and left his family to be with her), and the third, was the possibility that some drug case was hiding behind the crime. On the day of the murder, the police brought several people, but to no avail. The heinous crime was never solved…

The case file έκανε “wings”!

The case was finally filed in 2011, while the fact that in 2003, the children of Nikos Chondroulis were surprised to find out that the case file regarding the murder of their father, and Lambrini Sillaidi, had disappeared. They first addressed the Court of First Instance of Amaliada, from where they received the answer that the file was destroyed following an official order made around 2001. They even appealed to the European Commission of Human Rights through the GHM, but without any result.

Finally, by decision of the Supreme Court and based on the investigation of the Court of Appeal of Patras, the case was closed without attributing any responsibility to court officials, for the mysterious disappearance of the case. As mentioned in the 240/6 June 2011 Archiving Act, after the conclusion of the President of the Court of Appeal of Patras from 20/5/2011, the case was filed because the complainants did not substantiate specific acts or omissions of court officials, which could be the basis for disciplinary proceedings. of them.

The look at ballistics…

According to the same sources, the 60-year-old murderer of Andravida, knew the victims Chondrouli and Syllaidis, but this of course is not enough to form any accusation against him.

The ballistic investigation is expected to shed light on this research, which will be carried out on all the weapons that the butcher had in his possession.
