Serious blow to illegal rendition of subscriber content The Division of the Cybercrime Prosecution of Northern Greece managed to arrest two people in Kilkis, who used pirate television to view their customers. The case, which brings to the forefront of a widespread but illegal phenomenon, raises serious legal and financial consequences for businesses that resort to such practices.

According to the authorities’ survey, a 40 -year -old installed a “pirate box” in a 58 -year -old health shop, which allowed the promotion of illegal subscription content to customers. The 40 -year -old traded “boxes” that provided access to pirate television channels for subscription.

During the legal investigations, two televisions, three receivers and two USB devices were seized, which will undergo laboratory expertise by the Northern Greece Criminal Investigations Division. Reports indicate that controls will be intensified in health stores throughout Greece.

The case is not isolated. Illegal retransmission and viewing of bars subscription channels, cafes and other professional areas is a serious criminal offense, in accordance with applicable copyright legislation. Those involved face prison sentences, as well as high monetary fines that can reach hundreds of thousands of euros.

Bars and cafes using such practices are at serious legal risks, while consumers are called upon to be very careful, as access to such services is not only unethical but also criminal.
