According to EMY, the very cold weather will continue with strong winds in the Aegean until Wednesday (23-03-2022), while the deterioration concerns the intensity of snowfall in the eastern country on Tuesday (22-03-2022) in the mountains. – semi-mountains as well as in areas with lower altitudes on the mainland. Analytically:
A. On Sunday (20-03-2022) and on Monday (21-03-2022) snowfall of weak to moderate intensity will occur at intervals in Thessaly, Sterea, Evia and the eastern and central Peloponnese even in low altitude areas, while snow locally heavily in the mountains – semi-mountains of Crete.
B. On Tuesday (22-03-2022) the snowfall will gradually intensify from the pre-noon hours in Sterea, Evia, Thessaly, the Sporades, central Macedonia (mainly Halkidiki), as well as in eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the eastern Peloponnese and Crete, in mountainous – semi-mountainous areas, but probably also in areas with lower altitudes. From noon until the evening hours, there will be parallel and locally heavy rains in the coastal areas of the above areas, as well as in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.
C. On Wednesday (23-03-2022) the snowfall will be limited to eastern Sterea, Evia and Crete, with gradual weakening from the afternoon.
