The monitoring of social media has brought fines and arrests after checks for counterfeit products in East Macedonia – Thrace and Attica.
According to RES -EIA, checks in the regions of Eastern Macedonia – Thrace and Attica were carried out by executives of the Market Control Unit (DIMEA), the Ministry of Development during the period by 11 to March 13.
Checks were carried out following the utilization of information resulting from monitoring of social media.
Were detected in Warehouses 33.133 Pieces of imitations products (T -shirts, forms, shorts, jewelry and accessories) that were seized and destroyed, which, through specific social media, were traded throughout the territory.
Overall were imposed fines tall 331,000 euros While two nationals were arrested on charges of brand for falsification and fraud and were referred to justice in the autopsy.
Significant, as noted by TIMEA, was the contribution of Elyt Thessaloniki – KOE Xanthi and the Rodopi Police Department – Department of Prosecution and Crimes of Komotini.
