Journalist Zeza Zikou died this morning at the hospital where he was being treated after a sudden health problem.

She is the first financial reporting journalist to cover issues of international economics and international markets, while for many years her column in Kathimerini was a reference center for the business and economic community.

Georgia (Zeza) Zikou was born in Nea Ionia. After graduating from High School she attended the School of Shipping Operations and then attended shipping courses at the London School of Foreign Trade.

She started her journalistic career in 1980 in the newspaper “Acropolis”, while in 1983 she moved to the newspaper “Express” covering shipping issues. In 1987 she started her long-term collaboration with the newspaper “I Kathimerini” on issues of international economy, while in recent years she worked for the newspapers “Parapolitika” and “Estia”.
