He noted that the results of the efforts at the Labor Ministry are already visible and stressed the reduction of unemployment to 8.7%, a percentage that brings our country to have lower unemployment than Spain, Sweden and Finland.

Mrs Kerameos made special reference to women, stressing that about 270,000 more women are working today compared to five years ago.

Mrs Kerameos emphasized the increase in wages by saying that ‘With a decrease in unemployment there is terrible competition, which is why wages increase. Because one part is the minimum wage and another part is the average salary. Leave the bottom, because there is a government decision there for the time being. I say for the time being, from 2027 onwards there will be no government decision. But why is the average salary going up? The average salary is going up, because there is now increasingly available human resources and therefore increases the competition between businesses too much“, And noted that the ministerial council would discuss the increase in the minimum wage next week.
