A series of events will take place on Tuesday, March 25, as part of the celebration of the National Anniversary of March 25, 1821 in Attica.

As announced today by GEFHA, events include:

  • At 06:20 throw 21 greeting shots from the Lycabettus Fire and execution of the Armed Forces and Security Forces Music Sections on the main streets of Athens.
  • At 08:00 official flag on the sacred rock of the Acropolis.
  • At 10:00 doxology at the Cathedral (Metropolitan) Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary of Athens, preceded by the Blessed Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Hieronymus II.
  • At 10:01 throw 21 greeting shots from the Lycabettus Fire.
  • At 10:55 a wreath laying at the Unknown Soldier Monument by the President of the Hellenic Republic.
  • At 11:00 sections of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, in front of the Unknown Soldier Monument, before the President of the Hellenic Republic.
  • At 18:41 the official flag of the flag on the sacred rock of the Acropolis and at the same time throwing 21 greeting shots from the Lycabettus Fire.

In addition, the following events will take place throughout the country:

  • Parades of military sections.
  • General flagging of units, military shops and warships from 08:00 on Sunday, March 23 until the sunset of Tuesday, March 25th.
  • Lighting of units, military shops and warships during the evening hours of Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 March 2025.
