The May Day holiday is not transferred this year, as it did last year and will be celebrated normally Thursday 1st May.

It is recalled that in 2024, May Day fell Good Wednesday and so had been carriedon a later date, by decision of the Ministry of Labor.

Every year on this day, employees in private and public sectors are not working while they are closed schools and business as they are done Events across the country.

However, those who work paid as follows:

  • If they are paid by wage, their usual paid salary and 75%increase.

In the event that employees are paid a monthly salary:

  • If it is about business where delay On Sundays and days of holiday and emergency there will be 1/25 of their usually paid salary and an additional 75% surcharge on the legal wage for those hours of employment
  • If they are businesses that work legally on Sundays and the others by the law holidays, There is only 75%surcharge, calculated at 1/25 of their legal wage for those hours of work.
