“Memory for this rich work, the pastoral, the social, the patriotic and the spiritual, will continue to exemplify and commit to continuing it.”
Died the Metropolitan of Dryinoupolis Pogoniani and Konitsis Andreasafter a battle for more than three months at Hadjikosta Hospital, after a heavy stroke.
The blessed Metropolitan of the world Andreas Trebellas was born in 1939 in Patras, in 1967 he came to Konitsa, initially as a popular preacher, after Archimandrite and Protectorate of the Metropolitan, he was a close associate of Makaristos, 1995.
The footprint he leaves in Konitsa is deep and sealed by his important social work.
The President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas He praised his work, stressing in a statement:
The Metropolitan of Dryinopolis, Pogonian and Konitsis, Mr. Andreas, who served with faith, dedication and self -denial to Orthodoxy in his acrimonious metropolis, now succumbed to physically, after a long illness, but his memory and work would not be particularly ill.
A three -decade work in the border of the province of Pogoni and Konitsis, but also a dynamic and uninterrupted support for the Greek national minority of Albania, with his constant anxiety and mobilization of all of us to protect the rights of his “children, their children”. The memory of his rich work, the pastoral, the social, the patriotic and the spiritual, will continue to exemplify and commit to continuing it.
I express my heartfelt condolences for his event.
His memory eternal!
