A few days from Easter, the gondolas of all supermarkets are already full of eggs. To help in the time of choice, the Sheet It evaluated the blind 46 eggs found in large hammers and handicrafts with reduced production.

The chocolates were divided into six categories to allow a more accurate comparison of their characteristics: to milk (5), white (5), crispy (7), bitter (7), stuffed (13) and available in large supermarket chains (9). No brand has been repeated in more than one category.

Criteria such as ingredients, texture, presentation, taste and proportion of chocolate and other ingredients were taken into account. The exaggerated presence of sugar was a constant in most categories.

The image shows a variety of chocolate eggs arranged on an aluminum paper background. There are five milk chocolate eggs, three white chocolate eggs and two dark chocolate eggs, all with different textures on the surface.

The selection gathered both brands that sent eggs to the newsroom and those they sent on request, as well as products bought by the newspaper. The jury was not prior knowledge of the brands that participated in the evaluation, which follows editorial criteria.

The experts formed the judges: Helena Lima, confectioner of the restaurant Maní; Katia Yoshihara, confectioner and gastronomy teacher at the Belas Artes University Center; Maurício Marques Lopes Filho, Professor of Gastronomy at Mackenzie Presbyterian University; Priscila Pastre, gastronomic criticism of Sheet; and Vera Gasparian, a businesswoman graduated in gastronomy. Beyond them, journalists from Sheet that are consumers of these products joined the tables in each category.

The Folha Proof section offers the reader a shopping guide and has already evaluated items such as white wine, olive oils, hazelnut cream, frozen cheese bread and panettone. The result is not a ranking, but a list that evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the products.

Here are the comments on the selected products in the eggs category available in large supermarket chains.

Eggs sold in supermarkets

The selection includes industrialized products that cost up to R $ 83. In this category, the jurors mainly valued the cost-benefit ratio of chocolate eggs.

The tasting participated in experts Katia Yoshihara (Fine Arts), Helena Lima (Maní) and Vera Gasparian, as well as journalists at Sheet Lara Piller, Caroline Hardt and Fernando Nazaki.

The image shows several chocolate eggs arranged on a surface covered with aluminum foil. The eggs are of different colors, including dark brown, light brown and yellow. In the background, there are two works of art, one with a blue background and the other with a red background, both with abstract forms.

Bis

The egg incorporates pieces of chocolate sold in bars. It was approved by the jury, but did not win the title of favorite. “I find it interesting the contrast of the waffle, which makes the texture different from the hundreds of industrialized sold in the market,” said Helena Lima. “He follows the Waffle proposal well, so that the person already knows what to buy,” added Katia Yoshihara.

Ferrero Rocher

The jurors agreed that this is the closest to a full -bodied chocolate. “You can taste cocoa, has personality,” said Caroline Hardt. In Helena Lima’s opinion, it’s a decent chocolate, but it doesn’t impress. Katia Yoshihara made an observation regarding the egg texture: “He crumbles in his mouth, is something sandy. I agree, however, which is a decent chocolate.”

Kinder Egg

More popular with surprises than for chocolate, the egg pleases to remain true to the formula it has always used. “It’s a chocolate that resembles my childhood,” says Lara Piller. “I like this mixture of white chocolate with black,” comments Fernando Nazaki. The jurors evaluated, however, that there is little chocolate in the egg. “It has no cocoa flavor,” said Vera Gasparian.

White Cholocate bonbon

Reproduces the recipe of Lacta’s classic bonbon – and pleased most of the jury’s palates. “It’s the kind of egg I would buy,” said Narazaki. “Despite being very industrialized, it’s good as much as possible,” said Hardt. “Crocrance also pleases, is a different point from the others,” said Gasparian.

Also proven were the Caribbean eggs (boy), Kit Kat (Nestlé), Arcor and Lacta to milk, but they did not figure among the best.
