Contrary to the proposal of the Governor of the Bank of Greece for rendition of ENFIA revenue to Local Government, if accompanied by a corresponding reduction in regular grant, the Board of Directors of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) appeared.
“If the whole of ENFIA is to be added to the resources of the central independent resources (CAPs), which we already receive, of course. But what Mr Stournaras clearly says is to give ENFIA entirely to Local Government and thus to have a financial relief and rationalization of the state budget, obviously removing these amounts from the CAPs. The President of KEDE stressed that “of course we want more money than we receive today and which are left of what we are entitled to in accordance with article 259 of Law 3852/2010, which is suspended. That is, 20% of the income tax of natural and legal persons, 12% of the value added tax and 50% of all annual revenue tax receipts, which make us 6.2 billion euros. “

Concerning the 55+ unemployed employment program, the KEDE president announced that out of the 6,000 new positions that opened for all public bodies, 118 municipalities took 3,257 seats. He noted that after KEDE’s intense protest over the management of the program by the Ministry of Labor and the DBA, an additional 1000 posts were announced for municipalities and regions, while trying to add 1500 additional positions.
Mr Kyrizoglou stressed that KEDE insists that 10,000 seats should be made in the municipalities in order to meet their needs.
