Following the collaboration of the Department of Drugs & Weapons of the SDOE Attica Operational Directorate with the Athens Customs Airport Customs Department “El. Venizelos’ and the Drugs Prosecution Coordinating Body- National Intelligence Unit (SODN-P) were organized, after approval by the Athens Public Prosecutor’s Office, a controlled delivery of Postal Port Authority from Canada with a final destination in our country, which contained 4 kg.

The drugs were thoroughly hidden in a plastic container in which they were placed as a means of hiding them with a quantity of organic coconut oil in solidified form.

A staff of the service was directed to the department of the wider Athens area, which was listed as a portion of the parcel and a department’s executive, pretending to be the postal employee, handed over the drug parcel to a 37 -year -old native who appeared for his receipt.

Immediately upon receipt of the parcel by the 37 -year -old native, intervention was performed and the perpetrator was arrested.

In a follow -up research, with the assistance of the Department of Smuggling of the Athens Customs Airport “El. Venizelos’, another postal parcel was found in courier company facilities with identical sender and recipient data, which was found to be hidden 4 pounds and 500 grams in the same way of concealment.

The total amount of 9kg and 100 grams of cannabis hernabis excerpts was seized and the arrested perpetrator was brought before the Athens Public Prosecutor, where he was decided after his apology.
