e-EFKA: The retirement regime is harmonized between old and new retirees working

“THE ΕΦΚΑ harmonizes, as required by law, the retirement status between old retirees (ie those who retired before May 2016) and new retirees (who retired after May 2016) who work in parallel “, according to a statement of the institution.

In announcement It is pointed out that “based on law 4670/2020, for young retirees the payment of 70% of the pension is provided for as long as they work at the same time from 40% that was provided, based on law 4387/2016. In the same law there was a provision for adjustment of the pension and payment of 70% to the old pensioners who work at the same time. In fact, a transitional period was given, which expired at the end of February 2022, (pursuant to the provisions of article 27 of Law 4670/2020, as amended and in force with the provisions of Article 78 of Law 4690/2020). From March 1, 2022, therefore, the same regime applies to all retirees with parallel work, regardless of whether they retired before or after May 2016 “.

As mentioned in the announcement, from application of the above provisions are excluded the following categories of retirees, who will continue to receive their full pension, regardless of employment:

a. OGA retireesif they are employed under the insurance of the former OGA.

b. Retired mentally ill of article 23 of law 4488/2017 (AD 176) (mentally ill people suffering from disability, which is due to mental illness or mental retardation or sympathology of mental illness and mental retardation, with a percentage of 50% or more, provided that the undertaking of employment or self-employment is appropriate for reasons of psychosocial rehabilitation and social reintegration).

c. Retirees based on Law 612/1977 (AD 164) and the provisions that refer to it (old age, due to disability of the private sector – severe disabilities, such as paraplegia, quadriplegia, etc., who receive an old-age pension with 15 years of insurance).

d. Retirees of the fourth paragraph of circumstance a` of par. 1 of articles 1 and 26 of p.d. 169/2007 (AD 210) (old age, due to disability of the public sector (civil and military employees) – severe disabilities, such as paraplegia, quadriplegia, etc. who receive an old-age pension with 15 years of insurance).

e. Those who receive the extra-institutional allowance or the corresponding allowance of article 54 of p.d. 169/2007 (AD 210) (those who receive the extra-institutional allowance or the corresponding public allowance).

f. The large familiesof which at least one of the children is a minor or is studying in higher or higher schools and until the completion of the 24th year of age or is incapable of any livelihood work.

g. The persons referred to in par. 3 of article 4 of law 4387/2016 (AD 85) (those who receive a pension from the Ministry of Education, war, honorary, due to death / disability due to service, etc).

h. Retirees other bodies and the State, provided that their annual income from employment in the agricultural sector as farmers, beekeepers, stockbreeders, poultry farmers and fishermen, does not exceed the amount of 10,000 euros.

It is reminded that only the old retirees who are working at the same time and have not declared it, until today, to EFKA, are invited to do so, coming to the competent services of the Organization and for their convenience this opportunity is given, until 31 May. It is possible to schedule an online appointment through the single service number 1555. Retirees who have already registered their employment are not required to re-register.

Those do not comeuntil May 31to declare their parallel work, face him risk of fine equal to 12 pensions.

Finally, for retirees who have already declared their parallel work, the adjustment of their pension will be seen for the first time in the payment of pensions in April (end of March).
