According to Cretalive, a police evacuation operation had been made following a request to make engineers to make some measurements in the building. When these work was completed, the police guard also ended.
As announced by the Municipality of Heraklion, the Vice Mayor of Culture Rena Papadakis, along with associates and executives of the Municipal Art Gallery of the Municipality of Heraklion, were found in the Basilica of St. Mark, as well as the Deputy Mayor of Development Planning & Digital Planning
