“The Hellenic Train announces that today April 30, the train operating the IC53 Thessaloniki – Athens route, with 190 passengers, suffered damage and was stopped at 13:18 after the Ekcara Bridge.
The company activated the procedures provided and stated to send machines from Lianokladi, which arrived at 14:20 to carry the train to the Lianocladi Station, where the passengers landed.
After arriving at the Lianocladi Railway Station, the passengers were transported to their final destination by Hellenic Train, while some of them chose to continue their journey with the next train, to Athens.
Hellenic Train staff offered snacks and water to passengers while waiting and stood by their side from the first moment to limit their hassle as much as possible.
