A speedboat traveling rapidly from the opposite Turkish coast was the reason for the alarm to the port authorities and immediately to order a patrol boat of the Samos Port Authority to rush to the area of Agios Konstantinos for investigations.

The Coast Guard, which was on a scheduled patrol, found the speedboat to reach the northern coast of the island. The operator of the high -speed boat did not comply with the bright and audio marks of the Port Authority, followed by a pursuit, where warning shots were thrown into a safe sector. The speedboat approached the maritime area near the settlement “Agios Konstantinos”, where it landed by foreign occupants, while its operator fled.

Subsequently, executives of the Samos Police Department found thirty -two aliens (11 men, 6 women and 15 minors) in the wider land area, who were transferred to the closed controlled structure of the island. Shortly thereafter, they also found the boat operator, which they handed over to the Port Authority.

The 20 -year -old foreign pilot (Azerbaijan) was recognized by the rest of the foreigners as their trafficker and was arrested for “illegal entry into the country”, and “trafficking of third -country nationals in Greece” and “apathy”.

From the Port Authority of Samos, which conducts the preliminary investigation, the means of transport was seized, as well as a mobile phone.
