Historical Sykokouria, at least 200 years old, had also been screened in the film “Robin Forests” with Kevin Costner in 1991
Two men were found guilty today for cutting one of the most famous trees in Britain, Sycamore Gap, two years ago, a beloved for the British people of emblematic landmark, who had even appeared in the 1991 Robin Forestry movie in 1991.
Sycamore Gap, a sycamore of at least 200 years old, dominated the historic Hadrian wall, isolated between two hills in an impressive landscape of Northaberland National Park in northern England.
The tree was cut with a chainsaw, sawed at the base of the trunk on September 28, 2023, causing sadness and anger in British society.

Prosecutors today spoke of a “stupid mission”.
Graham and Karaders, who traveled to that point of Northaberland National Park from their homes in Karlail, about 40 kilometers, refused any involvement. The jurors, however, found them guilty for damage to foreign property.
Prosecutor Richard Wright told the jurors in Newcastle’s court last month that 39 -year -old Daniel Graham and 32 -year -old Adam Caraders are responsible for “reckless vandalism”.
The fall of the tree even caused a deterioration in a part of the Hadrian wall, built by the Romans about 2,000 years ago and is currently on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Their sentence will be announced on July 15th.
