The blood tax was heavy by the traffic in Attica and in May as 14 people were killed and 668 were injured (12 seriously, 656 light) in 573 incidents.
In the context of targeted actions implemented by the Attica Traffic Directorate for Tarale Police and upgrading the level of road safety in the Attica region, in May 2025, 39,272-drags were confirmed, of which 1,034 in a degree of misdemeanor.
Indicatively confirmed:
- 1054 Violations for driving under the influence of alcohol, of which 64 were in a degree of misdemeanor,
- 3225 speed limit violations,
- 344 Violations for a Red Landscaping violation,
- 566 violations for mobile phone use,
- 1377 violations for non -use of a seat belt,
- 4108 violations for non -use of protective helmet and,
- 114 violations for dangerous maneuvers.
At the same time, 573 traffic accidents with 682 sufferers and in particular:
- 14 deadly with 14 dead,
- 9 Seriously with 12 seriously injured,
- 550 lightly with 656 light injuries.
The main causes of these accidents were driving without prudence and attention, the violation of regulatory plates and the violation of pedestrian traffic rules, while the non -use of protective helmet by drivers and passengers of the bicycles exacerbated, in many cases, the severity of their injury.
It is noted that proper driver’s driving behavior and observance of road traffic rules are basic prerequisites, both for safe movement and to avoid traffic accidents.
