The process of removing the organs of the two boys who drowned yesterday on the Arachthos River begins, following a decision to donate their parents, a tragedy that shocked the whole country.
Tonight at night (about 2 in the morning), the first 14 -year -old boy’s removal surgery will start.
All organs (kidneys, liver, heart, lungs, corneas) are taken and they are all intended for adult recipients in Greece (it is not known who will be).
The process will include shooting groups from Rio, Laiko and Onassios and transplants to the recipients will start from 8am tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be taken to get the 12 -year -old’s unfortunate organs.
It is not yet known how many and what organs will be taken.
In the hospital the man who saved them
At the same time, Goga Levian, the “hero of Arachthos”, was taken to the Ioannina Hospital, who pulled out the two children through the river.
According to Mega’s “Still Nothing” show, the man had respiratory problems all these days, pulled blood from his mouth and left, but attributed the problems he faced in lack of sleep and stress.
On Friday he went to the doctor as the health condition worsened and he referred him to hospital examinations.
Indeed, according to the show, as soon as Minister Adonis Georgiadis was informed, he asked for an ambulance to take him to the hospital for exams.
Reports also indicate that in Goga Levian, of Albanian descent, he will be honored by Greek citizenship.
