Two people were arrested in Thessaloniki, on accusation that they were blackmailed Owner of a healthcare store.
The shopkeeper was preceded by the prosecution of blackmailers of the Northern Greece Organized Crime Division, according to which the detainees, among them a shop employee, demanded the payment of the payment of last February. 4,000 eurosclaiming to be accrued.
The same businessman also testified that the two complainant persons, together with others, repeatedly carried out, until last month, in defamatory actions against his business in order to be financially affected.
Under these circumstances, an ELAS operation was organized yesterday at noon. and at a predetermined appointment the two defendants were arrested when they received the above amount of money to preoccupied banknotes.
According to a police statement, a case was filed against them for extortion, defamation and absence, the last act because they refused to undergo the foreseen forensic marking, while led to the Prosecutor.
