Dimitrakopoulos to SKAI: Public opinion is the one that keeps Petros Filippidis in prison

by

In heavy complaints against a portion of the judges, he fired Advocate of Petros FilippidisMichalis Dimitrakopoulos.

Speaking to SKAI and the show “Unmatched”, he stressed that the well-known actor, who is accused of rape and two attempted rapes against his fellow actors, is wrongly detained temporarily and that some judges decide are influenced by public opinion.

Commenting on the court decision, two of the complainants to lodge in camerastated that the trials took place in secret in the Middle Ages and there was judicial arbitrariness, with the judge sending people to death by formal procedures.

“Now the doors are open for anyone to be in the room, to listen, to judge, to evaluate. This creates legal certainty. However, there are provisions in the Constitution and the Code of Criminal Procedure that a trial can be held in camera, when the alleged victim may suffer mental suffering. This provision was applied by the court. However, we fought not to close them, because the whole case, all the complaints from the plaintiffs, have been published everywhere for a year now. “Thus, the request of the lawyers of the other side seemed pretentious to us”, he pointed out.

Mr. Dimitrakopoulos added that “Petros Filippidis has been crucified for 12 months and the accused has not been heard, because he was waiting for this day when the questions will be asked to the complainant in order for the truth to emerge. “And believe me this truth would be shocking because the accusations would fall. But now a veil of mystery has fallen, a door has fallen on the truth. “When you have a public opinion, which has issued a condemnation, has deported, has dragged Petros Filippidis for so long, we finally wanted him to know his truth”, he pointed out.

In fact, he complained that there is a small number of judges whose public opinion influences their judgment. “Reading the case file, I can assess its gravity, ie when someone should be temporarily detained and when he should be released. Petros Filippidis is wrongly detained temporarily, because the woman, who reported him for two rapes, is being examined behind closed doors. “If the public listened to what he was saying, he would find out that, yes, the judges are really influenced,” he concluded.
