According to the Fire Risk Prediction Charter issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection (civilProtection.gov.gr), for tomorrow Sunday, June 29, 2025, it is foreseen: an extreme risk of fire – Alarm Category 5:

– Attica Region (including the island of Kythera)
– Region of Central Greece (Evia IP – except for Skyros)
– Peloponnese Region (Laconia IP)
– District of Crete
– North Aegean Region (IP Lesvos, IP Chios, PE Samos, PE Ikaria)

Very high risk of fire (Risk Category 4) for the following areas:

– Peloponnese Region
– Region of Western Greece (Achaia, IP Ilias)
– Region of Central Greece (PE Boeotia, PE Fthiotida, IP of Evia including the island of Skyros)
– Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (IP Thassos, IP Rodopi, IP Evros including the island of Samothrace)
– Northern Aegean Region (IP Lemnos)
– South Aegean Region

OR General Secretariat for Civil Protection of Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection It has informed the competent officials involved in government agencies, as well as the regions and municipalities of the above areas, so that they are in Increased Civil Protection readiness in order to deal with any fire incidents immediately.

At the same time, the General Secretariat for Civil Protection recommends that citizens are very careful and to avoid actions in the countryside that can cause fire by negligence, such as burning dry grass and branches or cleaning residues, using sparks, cigarettes, etc. It is also recalled that the burning of the fields are prohibited during the fire period.
