The Greek Wine Forum, held in Lausanne and Zurich on June 26 and 27, gathered 20 of the leading Greek wine producers, representing 17 different areas from mainland Greece and the islands, presenting more than 130 unique Greek labels.

The event was attended by some of the most renowned Greek wineries, including: Alpha Estate, Estate Books Chora, Gaia Winery, Gerovassiliou Estate, Kostas Lazaridis Estate, La Tour Melas, Lyrarakis, Santo Wines and Dark Estate, landscape.

Visitors had the opportunity to try a wide range of indigenous varieties, such as Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, Agiorgitiko, Malagouzia, Vidiano, Moschofilero, Roditis, Liako, Mavrotragano, Limniona and Savatiano. All the wines presented were also available for order, offering visitors the opportunity to continue their wine trip to the Greek vineyard and after the wine known.

The Greek Wine Forum offered the Swiss public a rare opportunity to discover the wealth and uniqueness of Greek wines, from ancient, indigenous varieties to modern winemaking, which redefine Greece’s position on the world wine map.

The events of the 1st Greek Wine Forum in Switzerland took place at the Millennium Conference Center in Lausanne and the Bunt restaurant in Zurich, and were open to both industry and wine professionals.

Switzerland’s Greek Wine Forum aspires to become an institution for promoting wine culture and production in the country. The design for 2026 has already begun, where the 2nd Greek Wine Forum in Switzerland will be held, which will be further enriched with parallel events, such as Masterclass for Greek wine varieties and PDO wines, emphasis on industry professionals, as well as expanding the Greek wineries.

After a striking run in 2024, Greek wine exports exceeded pre -pandemic levels, recording a significant increase in volume and value in major European markets, demonstrating the ever -increasing demand for quality Greek wines internationally.
