Work in more than 400 schools across Greece are in full swing, which are renovated with a donation of 100m euros by Alpha Bank, Eurobank, National Bank, Piraeus Bank and the Technical Support of the Hellenic Bank Association under the “Marietta Giannakou” program.
As stated in a post by EET on Linkedin, the appointment is given for September at the renovated school facilities.
As has been announced, this is a project totaling € 100 million, derived from the donation of the 4 systemic banks of the Hellenic Bank Association, which relates to interventions in 431 school units, 245 municipalities and 13 regions of the country.
Ongoing interventions will be significantly changed for the better of the teaching and working environment of thousands of students.
Interventions, as announced by the relevant Ministries, include, inter alia:
– Renovation of hygiene spaces & creating accessible WC for disabled,
– Repairs of Rabbies Disabled,
– internal and external colors,
– Improvements in the backyard, with basketball and volleyball courts, as well as playgrounds in kindergartens.
Program design secured the Integration of at least one school unit per municipalitygiving priority to special schools, units in acrimonious, island and border areas and schools in areas affected by natural disasters.
The relevant work is being carried out in the context of the signing of a contract at the end of May at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the Marietta Giannakou School Buildings Program, with the Ministries of Infrastructure and Transport, National Economy and Economics, Internal Affairs, Education, Religions and Sports and Sports, Eurobank, National and Piraeus) and “Building Infrastructure SA.
