The presence of the Police, as well as the overall mobilization in the protection zones for the surveillance of the restrictive measures taken to eradicate the blessing in the sheep, was requested by the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Christos Kellasin successive meetings he had today in Larissa, with the participation of the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretarepresentatives of the Police and Civil Protection, as well as mayors of the area.

The Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food acknowledged that there was fatigue in the local community, but stressed that the state is on the side of farmers, stating that seven additional veterinarians were already available in Thessaly, as well as extraordinary staff during the eradication effort.
He stressed that the compensation was paid immediately and were twice as much as it was, and recalled that Prime Minister’s mandate, Kyriakos Mitsotakis to support livestock farming, was clear. In this context, he emphasized that immediate support is also launched covering the increase in animal breeding costs during the period that is limited to livestock farms.
