Dozens of immigrants arrive from Libya on Saturday morning, marking a new explosion of migratory flows.
More specifically, about 175 immigrants had landed in Crete until 12:00 noon, with two other caravans with a total of 73 people in Crete from that time.
In the morning, 117 immigrants aboard two boats were identified and rescued by Panama flag tankers in the maritime area 25 nautical miles south of Gavdos.
Immigrants will be transferred to the port of Souda.
ERT reported a third incident of an arrival of immigrants, in which 54 people were rescued in the morning on Trypiti beach.
The 54 will be transported by bus from Paleochora to the port of Souda, counting them and depart for Athens in the evening to be hosted at the capital’s reception centers.
Later, 31 immigrants were found and rescued 24 nautical miles southeast of Gavdos, who were taken to a port patrol and transported to the port of Sfakia.
Another 42 people were identified and rescued by a Singapore flag transport ship in the 50 nautical miles south of the good ports of Crete.
