For the third day they fight the battle firefighters in the area of Feneu to mountain Corinthin order to limit the fire which burned dangerously in the past.

The fire remains without an active front with the Fire Brigades facing only a few outbreaks at the site of the resurgence that occurred yesterday afternoon from the Mati, Ahlada and Amygdalea Corinthian areas.

Currently, both the ground and air forces are still on the spot to halt any resuscitation. Specifically, 360 firefighters are operating with 15 groups of hiking sections of 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th EME, 75 vehicles, SM.M.EA, volunteers and the “Olympus” mobile operating center. In the first light of the day 8 aerial means, 4 aircraft and 4 helicopters, have been allocated and expected to be reinforced later.

Very high risk of fire today in 10 regions
It is noted that today a very high risk of fire (risk category 4) is foreseen in 10 regions of the country, according to the Fire Risk Risk Charter of the General Secretariat for Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and CivilProtection.gov.gr.
Specifically, a very high risk of fire is provided for the following areas:
– Ionian Islands Region
– Region of Western Greece
– Peloponnese Region
– Region of Central Greece (except for Evritania)
– Attica Region
– Region of Epirus (Ioannina IP, IP Preveza, IP Thesprotia)
– Region of Thessaly (Magnesia)
– Region of Central Macedonia (Halkidiki, IP Thessaloniki, IP Kilkis, IP Serres)
– Region of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace (Evros, PE Rodopi)
– Northern Aegean Region (IP Lesvos, IP Chios, Samos PE).
