New research and rescue operations 99 and 27 foreign/immigrants were held in the maritime areas of Gavdos and Ierapetra respectively on Saturday morning, under the coordination of the Single Research and Rescue Coordination Center (EKSED).
In particular,
99 foreignerswho were aboard 2 boats from a container ship, Malta flag, were selected and rescued in a business in the maritime area south of Gavdos, which took place with the active participation of the Coast Guard – Greek Coast Guard (LS). All foreigners were moved to a other boat of Frontex force and transported to the port of Agia Galini. In the area there were 5 beaufort winds.
27 foreignerswho were boarding a wind boat, from a container ship, a Marcel Islands flag, were selected and rescued in the maritime area of 50 nautical miles southwest of Ierapetra, with the involvement of an unmanned drone (drone). The foreigners were transferred to the port of good ports. In the area there were 4 beaufort winds.
