«Following the resignation today of Ms. Pispirigou’s lawyer, an excellent colleague, Mr. Apostolou Lytra, our Office received an order to contact the accused from her relatives.
After a lengthy discussion between Mr. Ioannou and Mrs. Pispirigou today in the GADA detention centers, and before the study of the case file, the parties decided together that our Office should not undertake the defense.
“Given this brief involvement in the present case, we would like to emphasize that criminal proceedings are the only way to find the truth, and that calm is the pillar that illuminates this difficult path.”
